Stephanie, Gleaming July 2015 Bride, Michigan Meets Renaissance Bride and a Most Swanky Event for Tw

Stephanie Hanna was and continues to be a glorious bride and friend.  It has been a lot of fun getting to know Stephanie.  She has taken advantage of the onsite services offered for hairstyling in many different ways which has been enjoyable for all of us.  Stephanie used the onsite hairstyling service for her Engagement Photos, Bridal Shower, Bridal Events, Wedding day, Reception and Holiday Work Party Events. Having the opportunity to style her hair for many different special occasions has sparked many different inspirations.  We have done down, loose curls with a few pieces pulled slightly back, and soft curls/waves featuring a pulled out braid as well as a textured updo complimenting her stunning bridal look for her wedding day celebration.

Stephanie came as a referral from Joy Macke, State of Face Makeup Artistry.  It is such a great compliment to get a referral from an artist in the beauty industry.

Stephanie's bridal shower was in mid May.  Styling her hair for that event was a lot of fun.  She was excited to spend the day with her family and friends celebrating the upcoming nuptials.  We met at Joy's studio to tag team the hair and makeup look for the beautiful bride to be.

Next, June would soon be coming to an end and it was time for Stephanie's hair trial.  We styled Stephanie's hair several different ways searching for the most perfect hairstyle for the first look, wedding ceremony and reception.

Then came the week of the wedding.  So full of excitement, last minute planning and finally the events. Rehearsal dinner time was here and Stephanie wanted to look as glamorous as ever, so I styled her hair while Joy perfected her makeup.  She was set and looking magnificent.  There is something to be said about looking your best, it makes one feel great as well!

Before we knew it, the day was here!  Stephanie's wedding day had arrived.  The hustle and bustle of the wedding day was here. She was ready and her friends and family were gathering around to prepare and ready themselves for the activities of the wedding day.

We arrived at the hotel at 9:30a with a finish time of 12:30p.  Stephanie was a little nervous but seemed put together and certainly ready to meet up with her soulmate and soon to be other half.  Styling hair was in order for the beaming bride, 3 of the 4 bridesmaids and mother.  The curls were forming and the styles were coming together.  All at the same time as Joy Macke of State of Face Makeup was working her magic on the already brilliantly beautiful bridesmaids and lavishly fabulous bride.

We completed the wedding day glamour for the wedding party as the photographer was arriving.  It was time for assembling the rest of the jewelry, shoes and especially the special gown for the bride.  It would soon be time to walk out that door and meet up with her other half.  They would soon gaze into each other's eyes with passion, love like no other and anticipation of a day that would never be forgotten.

The first look came and no doubt that every moment was swirled in a pause of the spinning of the world.  Seeing each other for the first time on the biggest day of their lives is sure to be one that would be remembered for years to come.

The ceremony took place at Trinity Episcopal Church right in the center of downtown Columbus.  After the nuptials had concluded and the ceremony was final, it was time for photos.  Such a beautiful day for photos. The weather was warm and amazing.

We, Joy and myself, would arrive at the Ivory Room right outside of the Brewery district and German Village to create a most glamorous second look for the stunning bride around 5:30p.  The bridal party filled the room as we prepared her hair and makeup for a second reveal. The guests were arriving and getting ready to celebrate with the happy couple.  The hair would go up into a textured soft updo to allow for dancing and elegant grace.

Derk's Works Photography captured every lively moment and every splendid detail to be relived at a later day for the glowing bride and groom.
